Not only did The Pretty Unknown play The Knitting Factory tonight to a lovely audience, but we got to share the stage with The Note-Ables of Note-Able Music Therapy Services – an inspiring band of musicians who use music therapy as a means to overcome their own disabilities! We donated a song of ours for a compilation CD, the proceeds of which go to the Note-Able Music Therapy Service Non-profit here in Reno.
Lots of new faces and interest in our music, and the Knit sound guys want us back!
Other stellar performances by The Mighty Surf Lords and \ Sophie / a.k.a. Kung Fu Sophie and the Slow Dying Death.
Tonight was a poignant and meaningful last gig for Adam, our esteemed drummer. Oregon is lucky to get you, my friend, but we’ll miss you lots.
Thanks to everyone who came out (you all kick ass), to The Note-ables for being great and inspiring, and to my throat, which despite the odds, healed up enough for me to belt out some tunes and surprise even myself.
Loving life.
